This website is hosted with GitLab Pages, a service of GitLab Inc. (USA). For visitors in the EU, the provider is GitLab B.V., 2 Amsterdam Tower, 12th Floor, Eduard van Beinumstraat 28, 1077 CZ Amsterdam, Netherlands. GitLab's servers are in the United States. GitLab transfers personal data there under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, standard contractual clauses.

Server logs

When you open a page, GitLab records your IP address, the time of access and the pages you visit in its server logs. How long they are kept is determined by GitLab; according to GitLab, they are deleted after 7 days on a rolling basis. I have no access to them and do not use them. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in publishing this website with a reliable host (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

Cookies, tracking and fonts

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking. Fonts are served from this website itself; no requests go to third-party font services. Links to external sites such as LinkedIn or GitLab only send data to those sites after you click them.

Contact by email

If you email me, I use your address and message only to reply to you. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering your request, or steps prior to entering into a contract if you contact me about a job (Art. 6(1)(f) and (b) GDPR). Emails are received through my email provider GMX and are deleted once the conversation is finished, unless I have to keep them by law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To use these rights, email me. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in Austria the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).
